Snow is poetry. A poetry that falls from the clouds in white and light flakes. This poetry comes from the lips of the heavens, from the hand of God. It has a name; a of dazzling whiteness. Snow. The situation described in the poetry of Maxence Fermine is very common on the Tonale Pass, the abundance of snow means that ours is one of the first ski resorts in the alps to open its lifts and one of the last to close them.
The location is ideal for those looking to perfect their skiing technique: very wide slopes, completely in the sun and without trees. The Tonale is also the destination of many freeriders, as the large spaces with no vegetation become a fabulous terrain for lovers off-piste skiing. There is plenty to enjoy on the regular slopes too: from the “black” Paradiso, which connects the pass to the Presena glacier via 3 km of pure adrenaline and a drop of 710 meters, to the panoramic Alpino with its 4.5 km and drop of 725 meters.
One of Europe's longest slopes is the Presena-Tonale- Ponte di Legno which measures a full 11 km spread out over a 1,750-meter drop, to satisfy even those who just don't ever want to stop. Making our hotel so convenient is the Valbiolo lift which serves a beginners' slope and which arrives directly behind the hotel; this lift leaves from literally right behind the building and alllows one to reach all the others of the Adamello Ski area.
